The '86 is a driver's car. I had a 2023 AT6 Base, which was very nice, but the MT6 is what I really wanted. Found one 1500 miles away from my home, and bought it. I tell everyone that it's just a fun car. I'm not tracking the car, and I'm not looking to race anyone. But my drive everyday (2500 miles in three weeks) is just fun.

GR86 - A good car. But I don't think it's one of the greats. Good, but not great. (in stock form) I think it has the potential to be amazing and one of the best cars EVER, but I think you need to spend money on it This is my personal review after driving the car from 10 miles all the way up to.

The 86 (and the Miata for that matter) are drivers cars. They're built to have the driver feel really engaged to what's happening on the road. They're incredibly fun on twisty roads, you can push them much more on turns than you can in other sports cars that are heavier.

There's been another rash of engine failures on r/GR86, but I noticed that it never gets posted/discussed here. I have my own theories on why, but rather than ask a leading question, I'll just ask: What are your thoughts?
